Data integration is critical for enterprises that want to make the most of their data, from gaining insights to making better decisions.
To that end, modern data integration company Fivetran announced new product functionalities built with data cloud company Snowflake. These functionalities include a new Oracle connector that can handle high volumes of data and access to Fivetran’s Metadata API for joint Snowflake customers.
The new product capabilities come on the heels of Fivetran being named Snowflake Data Integration Partner of the Year. This award means that Fivetran has demonstrated innovation through Snowflake data integrations, resulting in increased joint customer benefits.
Fivetran's innovations are built on the premise that businesses need data from various sources to gain real insights. The company's connectors quickly centralize and transform data from SaaS and on-prem data sources into high-performance cloud destinations like Snowflake's Data Cloud. As a result, companies can expect to increase operational efficiency and accelerate data analysis.
“Airlines require some of the most complex data operations. It's critical that data from across our organization isn’t siloed — when data is centralized in one place for analysis, we can maximize its value,” said Ashley Van Name, general manager of data engineering at JetBlue.
“Fivetran has helped us to break down existing silos so we can deliver more value to the business. Analysts at JetBlue have access to many more data sets than they did two years ago, with data from over 100 source systems now available for querying in our data warehouse. We see JetBlue’s data stack as one of the most modern data stacks at any airline today, which we attribute in large part to Snowflake and Fivetran," she added.
More than 60% of Fivetran and Snowflake customers are syncing databases, with Fivetran syncing an average of 31TB of data daily to Snowflake. This represents over an 80% YoY increase from 2021.
The partnership between Snowflake and Fivetran has resulted in 2,000+ joint customers, including JetBlue, WeWork, DocuSign, Square, and Autodesk.
"Our partnership with Fivetran makes it easy for customers to seamlessly move data from hundreds of sources into the Snowflake Data Cloud," said Colleen Kapase, senior vice president of WW Partner and Alliances at Snowflake. “As a result, we provide our customers with improved data accessibility, allowing companies to make better, quicker business decisions and unlock new insights and opportunities. We look forward to helping new and existing joint customers across industries as we continue to grow our partnerships.”
