Multiplatform approach

Securing Businesses in the Age of AI

Palo Alto Networks now counts more than 60 once-separate security categories — firewalls, SIEM, cloud posture, and threat intel — inside one platform. The newest piece is identity, added after its USD25 billion acquisition of CyberArk closed in February 2026. The logic: human employees aren't the biggest identity risk anymore. AI agents, running with standing privileges and little human oversight, are.

The company backs that up with scale: leadership in 25-plus analyst evaluations, a 9x nod in network security, and a 7x nod in privileged access management. Nine of the Fortune 10 and 10 of the 10 largest utilities worldwide already run its platforms. One customer told IDC that consolidation doesn't just cut costs but also shows up directly in revenue, by letting them plug in new partners and data streams faster.

So what does this actually cover? Download the datasheet to see:

  • Five platforms replace dozens of point tools. Network, SecOps, cloud, identity, and threat intel now cover 60-plus previously separate security categories.
  • Identity just became a core pillar. A USD25 billion CyberArk acquisition folds human, machine, and AI agent identities into one control plane.
  • AI agents are the new privileged users. Standing access and minimal oversight — exactly the risk profile the CyberArk deal targets.
  • The leadership claims have receipts. 25-plus analyst evaluations, a 9x network security leader nod, a 16x leader from code to cloud to SOC.
  • The world's biggest enterprises are already customers. 9 of the Fortune 10, 10 of 10 largest utilities, and 8 of 10 largest U.S. banks.
  • Consolidation shows up on the balance sheet. One customer told IDC that faster integration with new partners and tech translates directly into revenue.
