Rittiyawannalai School in Bangkok has implemented Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks to help develop 21st-century skills for students and save time for teachers.
The school, which has 7,000 students aged 12-18, is located in Sai Mai District under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in the Ministry of Education.
Before the deployment of Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks, most of the school’s teachers’ activity was paper-based. Some students would visit traditional computer labs and use smartphones in class for specific tasks occasionally.
With Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks, Rittiyawannalai School saw an opportunity to deploy a more comprehensive approach to technology in the classroom and help students develop 21st-century skills.
The school has been using Google Workspace for Education tools, such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, to promote collaboration among students and teachers. Students can now submit their assignments electronically, which has saved teachers a significant amount of time.
In addition, the school has been using Chromebooks in the classroom to help students develop research and problem-solving skills.
According to Mr. Chakkaphong Wongpee, a science teacher at Rittiyawannalai School, “We want to reduce the amount of time spent on evaluation, as well as on developing instructional materials.”
The school plans to continue using Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks to help students develop 21st-century skills and save time for teachers.
