With Smart Cities being rolled out across the region, Hong Kong with its strong heritage should be at the front. But instead, it’s playing catch up.
However, Mark Lunt, Group Managing Director at JOS believes this is not a bad thing. In fact, by being late to the game, Hong Kong is now in a unique position to learn and adapt what will work. More importantly, it can build the right eco-systems needed for sustaining its smart city aspirations.
CDOTrends caught up with Lunt at a recent conference to find out his views on Hong Kong’s bid for the smart city helm. He also highlighted how IT vendors are essential for smart city success.
