VMware has announced the launch of its new Regional Digital Innovation Hub in Singapore. The new hub will help businesses in Southeast Asia to thrive in an emerging tech hotspot while also empowering them to navigate the evolving future of work.
According to reports, The Regional Digital Innovation Hub will be home to VMware's latest innovations, such as digital whiteboarding, virtual reality (VR), and a personalized experience utilizing radio-frequency identification (RFID).
The hub will allow business leaders to evaluate, compare, and select VMware solutions while collaborating with experts and experiencing detailed demonstrations through hybrid and online briefings.
“With ASEAN on track to become a USD1 trillion digital economy by 2030 and the region’s emergence as an innovation powerhouse, we are committed to accelerating businesses to the future by helping them visualize and implement their digital roadmaps,” said Paul Simos, VP and managing director of Southeast Asia and Korea at VMware.
VMware's Regional Digital Innovation Hub is part of the company's broader Virtual Briefing Centers initiative. There are now ten such centers located in key global markets, including Bangalore, Beijing, Tokyo, and Sydney in the Asia Pacific region.
As such, businesses can connect to VMware's other VBCs around the globe to gain access to technical experts and teams, helping them overcome any technical constraints they may face. This will allow businesses in the region to test new technologies and concepts before official rollouts, serving as a secure innovation sandbox.
In addition to the hub's launch, VMware reopened its Singapore office with expanded, flexible workplaces that cater to collaboration and autonomy so that employees may choose how and where they work. The firm's new layout also embraces sustainability and inclusivity, with air purifiers, recycling areas, yoga rooms with lockers, a jamming studio, and mom-friendly facilities.
The opening of the new hub comes at a time when the region is seeing rapid growth in digital collaboration. As the region's entry point, Singapore is well-positioned to serve as a base for businesses looking to expand in SEA.
“The future of business is digital, and we hope to create a competitive edge for our customers by building a secure place for them to experiment and experience how future technologies can be built into their systems before they are enacted in real life so that they can anticipate what lies ahead and attain full autonomy on their innovation cycle,” said Simos.
